Investment in our workforce plays a role in Terbay’s success that is just as important as investment in technology and infrastructure. Our technical staff has completed Six Sigma Green Belt training, and we have Black Belt-certified engineers on our team. In addition to the training and development opportunities we provide, our employees are encouraged to pursue graduate-level studies.
Established in 1985 with the approval of the Turkish Ministry of National Education and having begun its educational activities, the Izmir Vocational Training Center in Bornova has contributed to the development of young people by providing training in machining and welding to more than 2,000 students to date. Students under the age of 18 who have completed middle school participate in a program consisting of four days of hands-on training and one day of theoretical instruction. Upon graduating after four years of training, they contribute to production either within Terbay or in various other sectors. Graduates of the apprenticeship school also have the opportunity to take the university entrance exam and pursue a bachelor’s degree.
